BE BOLD. BE CREATIVE. BE YOURSELF.
Beadwork began as a way for Native Americans to express themselves artistically while being compatible with their nomadic lifestyle. Patterns and designs were woven onto practical items, such as clothing, leather goods, horse tack, and jewelry, that could be easily packed up and moved. While that is still true, beading has become a way to be unapologetically Indigenous. It is a symbol of taking back our culture and continuing the healing process.
